I don’t know what kind of cheap knockoff made-in-America Turkish delight I’d eaten before, but I’ve been sampling some amazing Turkish delight from a European visitor and now I understand why Edmund joined up with the White Witch.
When Edmund takes the warm drink and Turkish delight offered by the White Witch, or when Ofelia grabs a couple of grapes from the Pale Man’s banquet, well, I felt it in my soul.
