I don’t care for astrology and obviously basing your entire relationships around it is a bad idea but some people are so vehemently opposed to it and I guess I just don’t understand? Who gives a fuck if some bitch on tiktok makes a video about the Most Jealous Star Signs i’m just Scrolling smh

To be fair a lot of astrology hoes I know are into anti Semitic qanon antivaxxer shit as a result of their immersion in “spiritual” communities (especially in CA) which serve as a gateway for “liberal” wealthy white people tp be seduced into believing right wing conspiracy theories. This is a big problem in the yoga scene too. So I wouldn’t say that astrology is inherently dangerous but a lot of people who get interested in it end up getting involved in sketchy shit

One of most vulnerable kinds of person in regards to conspiracy nonsense is “Someone Looking For Answers.” It doesn’t really matter who is offering answers as long as they sound good. It’s why so many “Entrepreneur Training Camps” turn out to be cult-adjacent. Salespeople know how to sound good.

Astrology has thousands of years of history, it’s built up a library of important-sounding language. It sounds good, but it has no dogma. Which makes it an extremely useful as a sort of soft open for people who want to radicalize upper middle class moms from California that are dissatisfied that that rapture hasn’t happened.
