[Benjamin Sisko is the best Captain. We see him get promoted and raise a child. No other Captain has this growth. He was also a single father that relied on the village around him to help raise his child. Characters like this are rare in a TV show. This is typical of the characters in DS9.]

Nate and Elena

cinderblockhouse:

I knew there’d be another adventure bursting with acrobatics, treasure, and lots of killing with guns, but man, I sure wished for more chapters featuring the normal life of Nate and Elena. Like half a game of Nate’s boring salvage operations and chatting with Elena about her new book. Nate zoned out at one point and I was like, come on. But it was Nate through and through.

I miss when Elena was along for the adventure, you know? Sully and Chloe and Cutter and Sam are all great and fine, but the dynamic between Nate and Elena is the best. Whether working together or coming apart at the seams. I haven’t completed this new story so I’m not sure how it’ll end, but I hope it’s Nate placing some new trinket on a shelf in the attic. I hope it’s a glint of dull metal, lit by a weak attic light bulb. I hope it’s the camera panning through his room of plundered wonders, and Nate sitting in his chair looking down at the floor.

Their ending is much better than mine.
