APPRAISER:
It's a little spooky-- it didn't scare you?

GUEST:
No, it doesn't, it never has. The only thing is, I keep waiting for her to turn around, and I've been waiting for about 60 years for her to turn around. ALT
A picture of a framed oil painting on display at an Antiques Roadshow convention.

It is an oil painting by Demetrios Jameson, painted in 1947. It is a painting of a woman shown from behind as she stares out over a crumbling stone balcony at a similarly decaying grey industrial skyline in the distance. The woman's most notable feature is her long, crimson hair. She wears a deep brown Homburg-style hat with a large silky feather tucked in the brim, a black bone corset over a black blouse with long, puffy sleeves, and a bright, acid-green floor-length skirt. The skirt is simple and slim, but has a slight bustle in the back. The woman also holds a small, black parasol in front of herself. It is visible to the painting's viewer over her left shoulder.

There is a crumpled up piece of paper on the ground to the left of the woman. The painting is rather grim and dark overall, with a lingering sense of decay to the setting.
