Chicken burrito from Taco Del Sol on 99W. Tigard, OR.

Awesome Tumblr user internethistory asked if the last burrito from La Norteña had too much rice. Their burritos are a bit on the dry side with the amount of rice and beans they load in, but man, I’ll take that any day over a burrito like this one.

I’ve nagged about burrito construction before. Some burritos are solid, other burritos are like a tortilla filled with puree. Taco Bell has plenty of these, although their burritos are sometimes small enough that they don’t suffer on account of their semi-liquid filling. But it’s a serious oversight in structural integrity when a restaurant fills their larger burritos with creams and sauces and too little rice and beans. You end up with a little bag of mush that squirts out through the nearest available exit, or at the very least has you worried that the slightest squeeze could send the innards outward.

This chicken burrito is an example of that. I won’t go back for this particular burrito, but Taco Del Sol does have others that caught my eye. Stay tuned…
