i’ve ported my spatial horror reclist to notion to make it easier to sort and filter! everything is arranged by type, subtype, and a key describing what kind of hauntings are present in the work, and you can filter by any of those things.
So if Sisko and Bashir are off the station, does Kira get the fuck forms?
I’m picturing her going through Jadzia’s literal pile mumbling to herself, “Really? Vilix-pran? Isn’t he about to bud?” and then a lone PADD and shaking her head. “Quark, there’s no way you’re going to get with the Orion triplets who just came on board.”
Morn shows up with an after-the-fact form because he DID make it with them.
I just imagine R.L. Stine’s tired editor in 1997 reading the draft for The Haunted School after dealing with the madcap bores that Stine had been sending in for months, certain that Goosebumps was on its last legs, then sighing and whispering, “R.L., you son of a bitch…”
And a special shoutout to the kid who left the bookmark in their copy of Deep Trouble II so that I, too, may admire it from within its yellowed paper prison.
